A Little Lumberjack-Valentines FUN!
When you talk about a smile being contagious, Ollie could have written the book! His smile absolutely lights up a room!
I was so excited when his mom, Ashley, had mentioned that she wanted to do a milestone session when they were taking holiday photos in our “Christmas Tree Farm”. Ollie was born on Valentines Day, so it only seemed right to incorporate it into the theme in celebrating his first trip around the sun. He also looks super cute in his lumberjack hats–so that and buffalo plaid were also MUSTS for his set!
When Ollie arrived, he was ready to go after a 40 minute snooze on his way to the session! Ashley pulled out the most adorable heart suspenders and the perfect onesie for his cake smashing! As soon as he was dressed (and even a little bit before) Ollie was curiously crawling around to explore his new surroundings!
He was most excited about the balloons and–of course–his MOM! He kept crawling over for extra hugs and had plenty of huge grins for her! Ashley had on the perfect outfit that looked like it was tailor made for his set! It was a wonderful opportunity to capture a few moments between them.
It was finally time for CAKE! Ollie wasn’t sure initially, but once he got that first taste of icing, he was SOLD! He went to town grabbing and squishing the flowers and taste-testing the various colors! He barely got down to the cake before a water break was in order! We aren’t quite sure how he did it–but Ollie didn’t get one speck of cake/icing on his shirt! His pants, and adorable little toes were another story! There is such joy and accomplishment that comes from getting to go to town on one’s very own cake!
At clean-up time, Ollie decided that he wanted to help! He eagerly grabbed some wipes and started “helping”!
Ashley, thank you so much for sharing this milestone with me! I loved all of the laughter with you and Ollie. His smile really is contagious! Your sweet little guy is so joyful and oh-so-very loved. I can’t wait to see how he grows in this next year and all that he learns to do!
