A new baby is like the beginning of all things–wonder, hope, and a dream of possibilities.

Varsha, Pradip, and Vihaan are excited about welcoming a new baby boy to the family!
I was so excited when Varsha contacted me over the winter to discuss both a maternity and newborn session! They moved into our neighborhood about 6 months ago, I hadn’t yet had the pleasure of meeting them! We talked about a few different locations, but ultimately decided on Longwood Gardens because it was so early in the spring and we were hoping to have some color and early blossoming flowers. I was thrilled when I scoped it out a few days before their shoot because I found a gorgeous star magnolia and just KNEW that we needed to head there for our first set of photos!
Varsha and I had chatted about dress choices and I’m SO glad that she brought 2 options! After a quick stop to change, we set off toward the waterfall! It was lovely chatting about how they’ve been getting ready for the baby, their new home, and the adjustments of life that have happened due to the pandemic. Vihaan thought the waterfall was pretty cool and started hopping on rocks right away! When it was his turn to get his individual photos taken, he turned on the charm and totally rocked it!
On our way into the gardens, a sweet woman stopped us to compliment Varsha on her dress (don’t you just LOVE when people are kind?!). And she also told us about a field of flowers that we just HAD to visit! I honestly wasn’t sure where this field was, and we were approaching closing time, so I wasted no time and asked another couple who was walking opposite of us on the path if they knew! And luckily they did–and pointed us in the correct direction! Once we rounded the corner and saw how spectacular it was, we were so glad that we had the fortune of meeting the kind stranger at the gate!
We were very careful not to step on any of the tiny daffodils that blanketed the grass! And Vihaan actually made an entertaining game out of jumping from patch to patch of grass! It added an element of fun and laughter! Pradip and Varsha told me that this was their first photo session–and I’m so glad that we were able to laugh and explore Longwood while capturing some great memories. I just love when a session can bring joy and fun to families–and it most definitely shines through in the pictures!
We headed back to our neighborhood to take a few pictures with the fur-baby Jax! He was a very energetic pup and wanted to give lots of love! We were able to capture a few of them in front of their lovely home!
Varsha, Pradip, and Vihaan, thank you for entrusting me to capture these memories! Your baby boy is very lucky to have you as his family! I can’t wait for him to make his way into the world and to meet him! It was a pleasure getting to spend the evening with you! Keep smiling and I’ll see you through my lens again soon!
Warmly,
Ang
